ISSEY MIYAKE SPRING / SUMMER COLLECTION 2016 - "Botanical Delights" -
Inspired by the lively tropical plants, the designer uses colorful prints and the new “Baked Stretch” technique to express the kind of overflowing strength of the plants that grow in the tropics.

Issey Miyake 2016 Resort collection. Designed by creative director Yoshiyuki Miyake, his year's inspiration was the tropics, collecting leaves, screw pines, and ferns. It is a collection lush with deep, dark colors and with some brighter accents.
Tropical Dandies" is the theme of the Issey Miyake's new spring/summer men's collection. Designed by Yusuke Takahashi, the garments are both textured and breezy. The signature Miyake pleating is dyed with different shades of the same color to create texture depth.
The spring/summer Issey Miyake women's collection "3D Steam Stretch" explores volume and form with the help of technology. The label used a new technique which gives volume to the fabrics, simply with the effect of steam. The 3d forms and the surface manipulation are reminiscent of origami. The collection's color palette started off with very soft tones, slowly added color and finished with intense blacks. |
